deadCenter

The week we’ve been anxiously awaiting—the week of deadCenter—is finally here! Oklahoma City’s 16th annual film festival kicks off this Thursday evening with the world-premiere of Electric Nostalgia following the Opening Night Party on the Museum of Art rooftop.

The Freestyle team is excited to roll out to the festival to watch four of our featuring films, including the full-length film Electric Nostalgia, and three short films—SWIRL, Heroes of the Realm and Yes, We’re Open.

Swirl, a dramatic short film by Lance McDaniel, shares a story of acceptance among high school youth as told through dance. Kyle Roberts, Emmy-winning director of The Posthuman Project returns to deadCenter this year with his latest short film, Heroes of the Realm. This sci-fi fantasy short film uses our love for retro games and comedy to explore everyone having a purpose in this world. Lastly, you’ll discover how one random act of kindness can make a huge difference in the dramatic short film Yes, We’re Open.

If you haven’t already, purchase an All Access Pass for priority entrance to every film, party, panel and special event, or buy individual tickets 20 minutes prior to each screening.

Whether you’re a festival veteran or a first-timer, deadCenter provides an incredible weekend of films and parties. Join us at deadCenter this weekend to help support all of the talented independent filmmakers from around the world and all over Oklahoma!
