Freestyle Supports “Shifter” Fundraising Campaign

Freestyle is excited to support Planet Thunder Productions latest endeavor – a time travel horror film, “Shifter,” which follows the award-winning success of the science-fiction thriller, “Electric Nostalgia.”

“Shifter” is written and directed by Jacob Leighton Burns and produced by Planet Thunder Productions in association with Freestyle Creative. The film tells the story of a young woman who experiences the gruesome side effects of an unsuccessful time travel experiment that causes her to randomly shift through time. The film is a tense horror thriller that explores themes of isolation, loneliness and the dangers of unchecked pride.

To fund the production of this project, Planet Thunder Productions has launched an IndieGoGo campaign to pay for the cast and crew’s wages and care. Remaining funds will help finance production in a variety of departments that are essential to creating a successful horror film. Contributors will be rewarded with an assortment of perks including recognition on social media, credits in the film, T-shirts, featured extra opportunities, a seat at the VIP screening and more.

Freestyle and Planet Thunder Productions previously partnered on the feature film, “Electric Nostalgia,” which premiered to a sold-out audience at the 2016 deadCenter Film Festival and won Best Oklahoma Feature Film. The film continued to collect awards as it filled festival theaters across the country, including the Austin Film Festival, the Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival, the Idyllwild Festival of Cinema and the Orlando Film Festival. This success helped create a generous amount of resources that will help carry “Shifter” even further. Those who are interested in supporting “Shifter” can make a contribution on ShifterFilm.com and continue to spread the word about the campaign. Be sure to use the hashtags #ShifterFilm and #ShiftHappens!
