William Dickinson Joins Freestyle Creative as Director of Photo and Video

Freestyle Creative expands their video production department with the addition of William Dickinson, director of photo and video. He brings experience in commercial and narrative-driven storytelling, pre-production, production, video production and editing.

“Will is a storyteller to his core, and that’s something you just can’t replace. We are excited to watch Will take our video department to the next level as we continue to establish ourselves as an elite video production agency,” said Matt Farley, Freestyle’s vice president.

Dickinson started his career as a video editor and producer at Scissortail Media and was later promoted to executive producer and director of operations. At Scissortail, Dickinson contributed to every element of the video production process, from the beginning ideation to making the final edits.

Dickinson has worked on various photo and video projects throughout his career, including a national campaign for The Atlantic Monthly, viral videos for the University of Oklahoma that received an official citation from the Oklahoma House of Representatives, and a documentary that he filmed just one mile outside of the Syrian border. While his role on each project might change from director of photography to producer to editor, the one thing that remains consistent is his ability to capture an audience through his narrative.

“I couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity to join the Freestyle team. From the second I walked into the office I was overwhelmed with the creativity and sheer talent of the team. It was immediately apparent. The culture that has been built at Freestyle is one where ideas thrive. I can’t wait to bring my own love of storytelling to the table and challenge myself to grow with them every single day,” said Dickinson.
