We began working with the Chickasaw Nation Department of Population Health and Research’s Strategic Prevention Framework-Tribal Incentive Grant (SPF-TIG) committee in October 2015 to create a comprehensive community-level educational and multi-media campaign to raise awareness of and prevent underage drinking and prescription drug abuse and misuse. This campaign targets teens and young adults age 12-25 within the Chickasaw Nation, but not limited to Chickasaw Nation citizens. Each strategy is designed to engage the target audience and Chickasaw Nation communities by promoting a healthy lifestyle outside of underage drinking and prescription drug abuse. The campaign is grant-funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration in collaboration with the Chickasaw Nation and Southern Plains Tribal Health Board.
